Try: Money invested=1000, Buy price per coin=50000, Sell price per coin=62000, Buy fee=0.1, Sell fee=0.1 → 0.01998 | $1,238.76 | -$1.24 | +$237.52 | +23.75% | $50,100.15

Before you rely on any number: crypto prices can swing hard in both directions, and this profit estimate only re-arranges the figures you type in. Treat it as arithmetic, not as financial advice.

Type in the money you invested, the price you paid per coin, the price you expect to sell at, and the fees your exchange charges on each side. Press Calculate and the receipt below shows how many coins your money bought, what they sell for, what the exit fee takes, and what is left for you.

The same receipt gives your ROI — net profit divided by cost, as a percentage — and the exact break-even sell price: the price where selling returns exactly what you put in, fees included. Sell above that line and the trade is profitable; below it, fees have quietly won.

How the profit formula works

The engine is plain arithmetic you can verify by hand. Your money minus the buy fee buys coins at your entry price: quantity = investment × (1 − buy fee %) ÷ buy price. At the exit, those coins sell for quantity × sell price, the sell fee takes its slice, and what remains is compared against what you started with. Net profit is the difference; ROI is that difference expressed as a percentage of your original money.

Because fees apply on both sides, they matter more than most beginners expect. A 0.1% fee each way costs 0.2% of the round trip — negligible on a 20% move, brutal on a 1% scalp. Try the same trade at 0.1%, 0.5% and 1% fees and watch the break-even line climb.

Why prices are typed, not fetched

This page never calls an exchange or a price feed. You supply every number, which keeps the math transparent, the page fast, and the tool honest — it can only be as wrong as your own assumptions. Want Bitcoin at your entry, Ethereum at your target, Solana at a fantasy price? Change the label and the numbers; the formula does not care which coin it is arithmetic for.

Where to go next

Once a trade is open, two questions follow it around: what does staking pay while you wait, and where exactly is your break-even after both fees. If you mine instead of trade, the mining calculator pits your rig against its own electricity bill. Each tool below runs on the same typed-numbers principle.

FAQ

How is crypto ROI calculated after fees?

ROI is net profit divided by your original investment, shown as a percentage. Net profit is what the sale returns after the sell fee, minus what you paid including the buy fee. Both fees are already inside the number.

How much do fees eat from a crypto trade?

Fees apply on entry and exit. Two 0.1% fees cost about 0.2% of the round trip; two 1% fees cost about 2%. On small moves the fee can be the whole difference between profit and loss, which is why the break-even price sits above your buy price.
